About Ben
Ben Cors is a championship-winning golfer from Ohio whose career spans elite junior golf, Division I golf at the University of Dayton, and top-tier amateur events. He has built a reputation for consistent scoring, big-moment performances, and a strong balance of athletics and academics.
Emerging early as one of the state’s top juniors, Ben earned a No. 4 ranking in his class in Ohio by Junior Golf Scoreboard. His junior resume includes an AJGA win by nine shots, multiple top-5 and top-10 finishes, along with success on regional tours that helped establish him on the national stage.
At Walsh Jesuit, Ben earned four varsity letters in golf, became a three-time OHSAA state qualifier, and collected 16 individual medalist honors under coach Bill Reilly. He was named All-Ohio in both 2019 and 2020, firmly establishing himself as one of the most consistent and reliable scorers in Ohio high school golf.
Ben continued his career at the University of Dayton under head coach Gip Hoagland, where he played 105 rounds over four seasons, placing him 4th among the program’s all-time leaders His college and amateur championship resume includes that AJGA victory, a runner-up finish at the Golfweek Hoosier Amateur, an individual Atlantic 10 Championship title, and a record-setting win at the 103rd Dayton Metropolitan Championship at 23-under-par highlighted by back-to-back course records of 63 and 62, along with multiple U.S. Amateur qualifications and exemptions into major state and national events.
A multi-sport standout at Walsh Jesuit High School, Ben excelled in tennis under coach Rocco Cona with a 3rd-place finish at the OHSAA state doubles championship and three consecutive years as a state qualifier. He competed in hockey, baseball, soccer, and basketball prior to high school to build a versatile athletic foundation.
